Senior Tool Room Consultant / Advisory Expert
Location: Delhi NCR
Salary: ₹50,000 – ₹90,000 per month (Commensurate with experience & engagement model)
About the Role
We are seeking a highly seasoned Senior Tool Room Expert to guide, advise, and mentor our tool room team. The ideal candidate will bring decades of hands-on technical expertise in design, manufacturing, trial, and troubleshooting of high-precision plastic injection moulds.

Key Qualifications & Eligibility
Experience: Minimum 20+ years of core experience in Tool Room Operations & Tool Manufacturing.
Proven Track Record: Successfully designed, manufactured, and commissioned 500+ Injection Moulds.
Educational / Training Background:
Alumni / Ex-faculty of CIPET (Central Institute of Petrochemicals Engineering & Technology) or TRTC (Tool Room & Training Centre) preferred.
Diploma / Degree in Tool & Die Making / Mechanical Engineering.
Key Responsibilities & Scope of Work
Technical Advisory: Guide the design, tool development, and manufacturing process for complex injection moulds.
Mould Design Review: Validate mould design (Core/Cavity layout, cooling channel design, runner & gating systems, hot runner selection).
Process Optimization: Reduce cycle times, resolve moulding defects (flash, shrinkage, warpage, sink marks), and optimize tool life.
Troubleshooting & Maintenance: Lead technical diagnosis for critical mould failures or precision issues.
Tool Room Mentorship: Train junior toolmakers and engineers on advanced machining, fitting, and maintenance best practices.
Vendor & Machine Selection: Assist in evaluating tooling machinery, CNC/EDM tooling paths, and steel grade selections (H13, P20, NAK80, etc.).
Core Skills Required
Plastic Injection Moulding Tooling (Multi-cavity, Hot Runner, Slide-core, Unscrewing, Overmolding).
DFMA (Design for Manufacture and Assembly) & Mould Flow Analysis interpretation.
In-depth knowledge of CNC Machining, EDM, Wire-cut, Precision Fitting, and Mould Trials.
Strong defect analysis and root-cause analytical skills.
